Matthew McDougall, 18, Lanark, Ontario
An avid outdoorsman, Matthew died on June 3, 1998, as a result of severe head injuries after being struck by a falling tree. A Grade 12 student, he had been working
for a logging company as part of a co-op job placement. Matthew had been wearing a safety helmet at the time of the accident. Described as an “excellent young man”, Matthew had dreams of a career in forestry management and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. |
