Gregory Shoesmith-McMorland, 22, Barriere, British Columbia
After high school, Greg worked in the logging industry. On June 28, 1993, the skidder Greg was driving dropped off a steep incline, causing brain damage which led to his death five months later. It was a doubly tragic accident in that Greg was nearing the time he would be leaving the bush to go back to school. “Greg had a deep and abiding love for the outdoors and drew his spiritual strength from the natural world around him. He liked people and people liked him. He believed in working hard, admired and respected the people he worked with and knew their admiration and respect in return.” |
